“Tsutumikata Kyoushitsu”

After the success of the 72 Seasons app, which has been downloaded over 10,000 times as of writing, Tonoloop worked with publishers Heibonsha and the Utsukushi Kurashikata Kenkyujo team on a new app for ipad and iphone. The app includes folding patterns for 6 traditional and contemporary Japanese paper folding and wrapping methods, with photos, plans and videos for each pattern.

Additionally, when you buy the app, you are sent a kit of materials that includes individually handmade Japanese paper, “mizuhiki” wrapping string, and a detailed leaflet with the history and background of the paper and the wrapping techniques.

(Currently the app is available in Japan only)
